The Ellen Rowe Quintet released the new quintet album “Courage Music” on February 23rd at Kerrytown Concert House.

Courage Music: The Ellen Rowe Quintet

The Quintet consists of Ingrid Jensen, trumpet and flugelhorn; Andrew Bishop, saxophone; Ellen Rowe, piano; Kurt Krahnke, bass and Pete Siers, drums. The new CD features arrangements of two well-known standards, "Leaves", ("Autumn Leaves", arranged by Ingrid Jensen) and "All of You", arranged by Ellen Rowe. All of the other material are original compositions of Ellen’s, and two feature the University of Michigan Chamber Jazz Ensemble with trombonist Paul Ferguson as special guest.
